Vincent Joseph Carosone Pleads Guilty in U.S. Federal Court

The United States Attorney's Office announced that during a federal court session in Billings, on October 13, 2010, before Senior U.S. District Judge Jack D. Shanstrom, VINCENT JOSEPH CAROSONE, a 50-year-old resident of Roberts, pled guilty to distribution of cocaine. Sentencing has been set for January 19, 2011. He is currently released on special conditions.

Assistant U.S. Attorney James E. Seykora stated in court that the government would have proven at trial that CAROSONE had been involved in distribution of cocaine in the Billings area during 2006-2008.

CAROSONE faces possible penalties of 20 years in prison, a $1,000,000 fine and 3 years supervised release.

The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation.
