
Informational: Federal Court Initial Appearance
The United States Attorney's Office announced that during a federal court session in Missoula, on December 21, 2010, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah C. Lynch, the following individual appeared:
MICHAEL ALLEN GARDIPEE, a 36-year-old resident of Butte, made an initial appearance on a complaint alleging conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. He is currently detained. If charged with this offense, GARDIPEE faces possible penalties of a minimum ten years up to life in prison, a $4,000,000 fine and five years up to lifetime supervised release. Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara J. Elliott is the prosecutor for the United States. The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations.
