
Informational: Larry Calvert Pays Fine For Harassing A Grizzly Bear In Violation Of The Endangered Species Act

The United States Attorney's Office and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced today that LARRY CALVERT, a 77-year-old resident of Charlo, Montana, forfeited a $2,025 bond in response to a misdemeanor violation notice issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
CALVERT was charged with one violation of the Endangered Species Act, 16 U.S.C. � 1538(a)(1)(G). CALVERT was charged with shooting a shot gun at a grizzly bear on June 27, 2011, on his property in the Mission Valley. Harassing a grizzly bear with a weapon is a violation of the Endangered Species Act.
