United States v. Weldon B. Denny, No. 5:04-CR-60-1H; and United States v. Morris Vivona, Jr., No.
5:04-CR-196-1H, has been scheduled for federal court in Greenville, N. C. United States District Judge

Charges against these defendants resulted from the federal grand jury investigation of the Meg Scott Phipps Campaign 2000 for Commissioner of Agriculture. Chambliss and Vivona previously pled guilty to obstruction of justice, and Denny pled guilty to making a false statement to a federal agency.
