TWIN BROTHERS SENTENCED FOR UNLAWFUL DRUG DISTRIBUTION
RALEIGH - United States Attorney George E. B. Holding announced that on April 4, 2007, BILLY RILEY, JR., 23, and LEVAR DEMOND RILEY, 23, of Wilmington, North Carolina, were sentenced before Senior United States District Court Malcolm J. Howard. Judge Howard sentenced BILLY RILEY, JR., to 180 months’ imprisonment, five years of supervised release, a $100.00 special assessment, and order BILLY RILEY, JR., to pay a $7,500.00 fine. Judge Howard sentenced LEVAR DEMOND RILEY, to 210 months’ imprisonment, five years of supervised release, a $100.00 special assessment, and order LEVAR DEMOND RILEY, to pay a $7,500.00 fine. On August 7, 2006, BILLY RILEY, JR., pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute more than five grams of cocaine base (crack), in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 841(a)(1), all in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 846. On October 10, 2006, LEVAR DEMOND RILEY, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute more than
five grams of cocaine base (crack), in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 841(a)(1), all in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 846.
The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Wilmington Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Michael G. James handled the case for the Government.
