George E. B. Holding

FRIDAY - November 16, 2007

WILMINGTON - United States Attorney George E. B. Holding announced that in federal court yesterday Senior United States District Judge James C. Fox sentenced JAMES EDWARD FRAZIER, JR., 34 to 204 months imprisonment, 5 years supervised release and imposed restitution of $1,700 for distribution of more than 50 grams of crack cocaine.

A Criminal Information was filed by the United States Attorney’s Office on June 14, 2007. FRAZIER pled guilty on August 7, 2007. On September 14, 2006, with the use of a Confidential Informant (CI), a buy was made from FRAZIER of up 56 grams of crack cocaine for $1,500 dollars.

On November 1, 2006, Wilmington Police officers had an arrest warrant for FRAZIER for the prior sale. FRAZIER was observed leaving his residence and his vehicle was stopped. FRAZIER’s car was searched and approximately 4.7 grams of crack cocaine and digital scale with cocaine residue were found in the car.

Investigation of the case was conducted by the Wilmington Police Department. Special Assistant United States Attorney Timothy Severo was prosecution for the government.
