brevard man sentenced for child pornography
NEW BERN - United States Attorney Thomas G. Walker announced that in federal court today United States District Judge Louise W. Flanagan, sentenced BRADFORD KEITH ARROWOOD, 56, to 327 months imprisonment followed by a life-term of supervised release.
A Federal Grand Jury returned a Criminal Indictment on April 7, 2011. On September 12, 2011, ARROWOOD pled guilty to two counts of manufacturing child pornography, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2251(a) and (d), and one count of possession of child pornography, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2252(a)(4)(B).
According to the investigation, which was begun in September, 2008, an ICE investigation of a suspect in Lake Forest, California, showed a connection to ARROWOOD, an insurance adjuster. The investigation revealed that the California suspect had been in regular online correspondence with ARROWOOD. It further revealed that a number of pornographic images of young boys had been sent by ARROWOOD. The investigators were able to determine that the pornographic images included pictures that ARROWOOD had made in the Wilmington area and had been engaged in the repeated sexual abuse of several children.
A search warrant was executed at ARROWOOD’s Brevard residence on January 30, 2009. Forensic examination of evidence recovered from the residence turned up large quantities of third-party child pornography as well.
