
Fuquay-Varina man sentenced for drug trafficking
RALEIGH - United States Attorney Thomas G. Walker announced that in federal court yesterday Senior United States District Judge W. Earl Britt sentenced STEVEN ANDRE DENNIS, 30, to seven years in prison for conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute crack cocaine and powder cocaine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841 and 861. Following his active prison sentence, DENNIS will serve five years supervised release.
The investigation revealed that from 2000 to December, 2010, DENNIS possessed and distributed large amounts of crack cocaine and cocaine in the southern Wake County area of North Carolina.
The investigation of this case was conducted by the Fuquay-Varina Police Department, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
The investigation into drug trafficking in the Fuquay-Varina area, entitled “Operation Freight Train,” is ongoing.
