Middlesex county, n.J., man sentenced to three years in prison for child pornography possession

TRENTON, N.J. – An East Brunswick, N.J., man was sentenced today to 36 months in prison for storing on his home computer a collection of images of children being sexually abused, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
Joseph R. Buckelew III, 20, previously pleaded guilty to an Information charging him with one count of possession of child pornography. Buckelew entered his guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Peter G. Sheridan, who also imposed the sentence today in Trenton federal court.
According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:
Buckelew admitted that on Aug. 3, 2010, he possessed more than 600 images of child pornography on a computer at his residence. Buckelew acknowledged that the images clearly included depictions of children.
As part of his guilty plea, Buckelew agreed to forfeit the computers that he used to commit the offense. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
In addition to the prison term, Judge Sheridan sentenced Buckelew to 10 years of supervised release.
U.S. Attorney Fishman credited special agents of the FBI Newark Division’s Cyber Crime Task Force, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Michael B. Ward; and the East Brunswick Police Department with the investigation leading to today’s sentence.
