Las Vegas, Nev. - A Las Vegas man with four prior felony convictions for controlled substances has been sentenced to 262 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release, for his guilty plea to conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, announced Daniel G. Bogden, United States Attorney for the District of Nevada.

JESSE JACKSON, age 26, was sentenced on Friday, November 18, 2005, by U.S. District Judge Kent J. Dawson. He pleaded guilty in July, admitting that between November 1, 2004, and December 9, 2004, there was an agreement between himself, Delores Jones, Valerie Jackson, and others to distribute crack cocaine in Las Vegas. He admitted that on four occasions between November 2, 2004, and December 9, 2004, he and other members of the conspiracy distributed a total of 145.4 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant in Las Vegas.

JACKSON received an enhanced sentence under the federal sentencing guidelines because he was determined to be a career offender, and a leader, organizer, manager or supervisor of the criminal enterprise.

The case was investigated by Special Agents of the FBI, and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberly M. Frayn.
