
Philadelphia Pair Indicted On Gun Charges
Tyron Ellerbe, 28, and Lamia Smith, 32, both of Philadelphia, were charged today by indictment with two counts of false statements to a federal firearms licensee and aiding and abetting, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. In addition, Ellerbe was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The indictment charges that Ellerbe and Smith committed these offenses in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, between September 7th and 8th 2011.
If convicted of all charges, Ellerbe faces a maximum sentence of 30 years imprisonment, a three year term of supervised release, a $1,000,000 fine and a $400 special assessment.
If convicted of all charges, Smith faces a maximum sentence of 10 years imprisonment, a three year term of supervised release, a $500,000 fine and a $200 special assessment.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Arlene D. Fisk.
