Philadelphia woman Charged With distributing oxycodone

An indictment was unsealed today charging Lisa Williams, 43, of Philadelphia, with three counts of distributing oxycodone, a controlled substance, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on May 18, 2012, May 24, 2012 and June 6, 2012, Williams distributed illegitimate prescriptions for the drug which called for the dispensing of a total of 1,900 oxycodone pills on the three dates, combined.

If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum sentence of 60 years imprisonment, a three-year term of supervised release, a fine of up to $3 million, forfeiture, and a $300 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Albert S. Glenn and Karen Fox.
