
Indictment Alleges Possession of Contraband In Prison

Kareem Alverest, 32, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was charged today by Indictment with possession of contraband in prison, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.
If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 5 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Virgil B. Walker.
