
Convicted Felon Charged With Possessing A Firearm
Vernon Johnson, 40, of Philadelphia, PA was charged today by Indictment with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.
If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years imprisonment, 3 years of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Philadelphia Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Virgil B. Walker.
