Charged With Making False Statements To The FBI
Kim Williams, 46, of Philadelphia, was charged today in a one-count Information with making false statements to the Federal Bureau of Investigation concerning two bank robberies, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The information specifically charges Williams with denying knowledge about the robberies of (1) the Citizens Bank, located at 7248 Rising Sun Avenue, in Philadelphia, on November 9, 2009; and (2) the PNC Bank, located at 8340 Germantown Pike, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 10, 2009, despite the fact that she was actually present for both robberies.
If convicted, Williams faces a maximum possible sentence of five years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, three years supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul G. Shapiro.
