Superseding Indictment Adds Defendant and Drug Conspiracy Charge
A superseding indictment, was unsealed Friday charging Albert Feaster, 40, and Eric Jackson, 46, both of Philadelphia, with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The original indictment charged Feaster with attempted possession with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. That indictment was superseded to add Jackson and to add the conspiracy count.
The indictment charges that from January 28, 2012, to April 24, 2009, Feaster and Jackson conspired to possess with the intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine, that is, approximately 30 kilograms of cocaine, and that on April 24, 2009, they attempted to possess with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more, that is, approximately 30 kilograms of cocaine.
If convicted, Feaster faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a fine of up to
$40 million, up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $200 special assessment. Jackson faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a fine of up to $20 million, up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $200 special assessment.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Delaware State Police. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas M. Zaleski.
