Charged With Illegal Reentry
Jose Luis Rosario-Vargas, a/k/a “Angel Rosario,” a/k/a “Hector Cruz-Tanon,” a/k/a “Jose Luis Rosario,” a/k/a “Angel Rosendo Rosario-Vargas,” a/k/a “Victor Nicolas Matos-Andino,” 40, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was charged today by Indictment with one count of illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about December 14, 2011, Rosario-Vargas, an alien, and native and citizen of Dominican Republic, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about October 13, 2004.
If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (“HSI”) and is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney John S. Ghose.
