Aliquippa Man Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison For Drug Sales
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, April 14, 2010, that Andre Stevenson, a resident of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 120 months imprisonment followed by 5 years supervised release on his conviction of violating federal narcotics laws.
United States District Judge David S. Cercone imposed the sentence on Stevenson, age 29.
According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Charles A. Eberle, on July 12, 2005, Stevenson distributed and possessed with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine. Additionally, on October 10, 2008, and on January 15, 2009, Stevenson distributed and possessed with intent to distribute a quantity of crack cocaine.
A federally administered Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) comprised of members drawn from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Beaver County District Attorney's Office Anti-Drug Task Force, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigation Division, the Aliquippa Police Department, the Hopewell Police Department, and the New Brighton Police Department conducted the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Stevenson. The OCDETF investigation was named "Operation Enough is Enough."
