Aliquippa Man Sentenced To Time Served For Conspiring To Distribute Cocaine

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, April 23, 2010, that Gerald Vail, a resident of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to time served and four years of supervised release on his conviction of violating federal drug laws.

United States District Judge David Stewart Cercone imposed the sentence on Vail, age 33.

According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Barbara K. Swartz, from in or around August 2006, to on or about August 22, 2007, Vail conspired with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.

Mr. Cessar commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Gerald Vail.
