Attorney Sentenced To Prison For Possessing Child Pornography
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to 50 months in prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release, on his conviction of possession of child pornography, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti imposed the sentence on James C. Kuhn III, 65, of Brackenridge, Pennsylvania.
According to information presented to the court, Kuhn paid $79.99 on eight occasions to purchase access to child pornography web sites. A search warrant was executed upon Kuhn's law office, located in Pittsburgh, Penn., on October 4, 2007. One of the computers seized contained between 150 and 300 images of child pornography.
Assistant United States Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Kuhn.
