Mckees Rocks Drug Dealer Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison

PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A resident of McKees Rocks, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to 10 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, on his conviction of violating federal narcotics laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.

United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab imposed the sentence on Mario Hamlin, 30.

According to information presented to the court, on Jan. 16, 2008, Hamlin possessed with intent to distribute and distributed five grams or more of crack cocaine and on Jan. 31, 2008, Hamlin possessed with intent to distribute and distributed 50 grams or more of crack cocaine.

Assistant United States Attorney Barbara K. Swartz prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Drug Enforcement Administration for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Hamlin.
