
O'Hara Township Man Sentenced To Prison For Possessing Child Porn
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, July 16, 2010, that Ignacio Frederico Lopez, a resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty and was sentenced in federal court on a charge of possession of child pornography.
Lopez, age 21, pleaded guilty to one count before United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.
In connection with the guilty plea, Assistant United States Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman advised the court that on January 4, 2008, Lopez possessed child pornography on his home computer. He had previously sent child pornography over the Internet to an undercover ICE agent.
Judge Schwab sentenced Lopez to one year and one day in prison, to be followed by a 40‑year term of supervised release. No fine was imposed. Lopez was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshals at the conclusion of the hearing.
United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Ignacio Frederico Lopez.
