Two Sentenced In Cocaine Trafficking Conspiracy
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, June 1, 2010, that Ronnie Shegog, a resident of Ambridge, Pennsylvania, and Charles Clark, a resident of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, were sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh for violating federal drug laws. Ronnie Shegog was sentenced to 24 months of incarceration followed by 4 years of supervised release. Charles Clark was sentenced to 10 months of incarceration followed by 3 years of supervised release, the first 8 months of which are to be served under home detention.
United States District Judge David S. Cercone imposed the sentence on Shegog, age 48, and Clark, age 45.
According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Barbara K. Swartz, from in or around August 2006, to on or about August 22, 2007, Shegog and Clark conspired with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.
Mr. Cessar commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Shegog and Clark.
