Trafford Man Sentenced To Probation, With Home Confinement For Submitting False Statements To Railroad Retirement Board
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, June 17, 2010, that Warren D. Robb, Jr., a resident of Trafford, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 5 years probation, which includes required 6 months confinement in a community correctional facility and participation in a 28‑day inpatient substance abuse treatment program, on his conviction of making false statements to a government agency.
United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer imposed the sentence on Robb, age 49.
According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Scott W. Brady, on July 6, 2007, Robb submitted false and fraudulent unemployment insurance benefit claim forms to the United States Railroad Retirement Board, thereby obtaining approximately $7,162.00 in Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act benefits to which he was not entitled.
Mr. Cessar commended the United States Railroad Retirement Board Office of Inspector General for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Warren D. Robb, Jr.
