Baden Man Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison For Possessing Child Pornography

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, March 23, 2010, that on March 19, 2010, William A. Gerber, a resident of Baden, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty and was sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 36 months imprisonment, followed by 10 years of supervised release, on his conviction of possession of child pornography.

United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab imposed the sentence on Gerber, age 25.

According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Scott W. Brady, in September 2007, Gerber possessed child pornography.

Mr. Cessar commended the Pennsylvania State Police for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of William A. Gerber.
