
Washington County Drug Dealer Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, May 5, 2010, that on May 4, 2010, Patrick David Ellis, a resident of Washington, Pennsylvania, was sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 120 months (10 years) in prison followed by four years of supervised release after pleading guilty to two counts of violating federal narcotics laws.
United States District Judge David S. Cercone imposed the sentence on Ellis, age 36.
According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Charles A. Eberle, on April 6, 2006, Ellis distributed and possessed with the intent to distribute 5 grams or more of crack and a quantity of cocaine. Ellis also agreed to the government's forfeiture of $17,825 in drug proceeds that was seized from Ellis by the Pennsylvania State Police.
Mr. Cessar commended the Pennsylvania State Police for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Ellis.
