Washington County Crack Dealer Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A resident of Washington, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to 10 years in prison followed by five years supervised release on his conviction of violating federal narcotics laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose imposed the sentence on Bradley Matthews, 35.
According to information presented to the court, from on or about Aug. 13, 2007, and continuing until Aug. 14, 2007, Matthews conspired with Patricia Barnes and others to possess with intent to distribute and distribute five grams or more of crack cocaine.
The charges stemmed from a search of the residence from which Pennsylvania State Police Troopers seized approximately 46 grams of crack cocaine and more than $17,000 in cash. The kitchen in this residence was utilized to cook, process, and package crack cocaine. In the kitchen, officers found multiple scales, cutting agents, packaging materials, paraphernalia for cooking powder cocaine into crack, and quantities of powder cocaine and crack cocaine.
Assistant United States Attorney Charles A. Eberle prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Pennsylvania State Police for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Matthews.
