Pittsburgh Man Sentenced For Role In Cocaine Trafficking Scheme
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ Aaron Kareem Wade, a resident of Pittsburgh, Pa., was sentenced in federal court to 30 months in prison followed by three years supervised release for violating the federal drug laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Terrence F. McVerry imposed the sentence on Wade, 30.
According to information presented to the court, from in or around October 2007, and continuing until in or around September 2008, in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Wade conspired with others to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute more than 400 grams but less than 500 grams of cocaine, a Schedule II controlled substance.
Assistant United States Attorney Troy Rivetti prosecuted this case on behalf of the United States.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office -Violent Crimes/Firearms Task Force, the Allegheny County Sheriff's Department, the Allegheny County Police Department, Allegheny County Adult Probation, the Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigation, the United States Marshals Service, the West Mifflin Police Department, the Coraopolis Police Department, the Jefferson Hills Police Department, the Mount Lebanon Police Department, and Pennsylvania State Parole for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Wade.
