
Removed Guatemalan Sentenced To Time Served, Deportation For Illegally Returning To U.S.
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A resident of Guatemala pleaded guilty and has been sentenced in federal court to time served and deportation on his conviction of violating federal immigration, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Senior United States District Judge Maurice B. Cohill imposed the sentence on Feliciano Maria Duarte Caceres, 28, of Guatemala, currently residing in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
According to information presented to the court, on July 18, 2010, Caceres was found in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Penn., after having unlawfully re‑entered the United States following removal on or about August 22, 2008.
Assistant United States Attorney Barbara K. Swartz prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Butler Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Caceres.
