PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A resident of Pittsburgh, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to188 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release on his conviction of violating federal narcotics laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.

United States District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose imposed the sentence on Delsin Azi Mott, 28.

According to information presented to the court, Mott was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin, in connection with the seizure of approximately four kilograms of heroin from Mott in Monroeville on Dec. 9, 2009.

Assistant United States Attorney Barbara K. Swartz prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Mott.
