
Westmoreland County Man Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison For Possessing Child Pornography
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A resident of Scottdale, Pa., pleaded guilty and was sentenced in federal court to 37 months in prison and 10 years supervised release on his conviction of sexual exploitation of a minor, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Senior United States District Judge Maurice B. Cohill imposed the sentence on Douglas Aaron Cook, age 30.
According to information presented to the court, on Nov. 5, 2008, a search of the defendant's home resulted in a seizure of over 600 images of child pornography.
Assistant United States Attorney Bruce J. Teitelbaum prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Pennsylvania State Police ‑ Area III Computer Crime Task Force for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Cook.
