
Johnstown Man Sentenced To Prison For Crack Cocaine Distribution Scheme
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. ‑ A resident of Johnstown, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to18 months in prison and four years supervised release on his conviction of violations of various federal narcotics offenses, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Bryant Antonio Grayson Ward, 23.
According to information presented to the court, from Jan. 18 to March 27, 2009, Ward conspired to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base, commonly known as "crack." In addition, on Jan. 26, 2009, Ward distributed five grams or more of cocaine base.
Assistant United States Attorney John J. Valkovci, Jr., prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Johnstown Police Department and the Laurel Highlands Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Ward.
