Judge Sentenced Bank Robber To Two Years In Prison
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A resident of Washington, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to 24 months in prison followed by three years supervised release on his conviction of bank robbery, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti imposed the sentence on Eric May, 34.
According to information presented to the court, on Oct. 2, 2010, May robbed the Eureka Bank located at 1626 Babcock Boulevard, Pittsburgh, Pa. As a result of the robbery, May obtained $670 in U.S. currency.
Assistant United States Attorney Almon S. Burke, Jr. prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Shaler Township Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of May.
