Erie Man Sentenced For Making Counterfeit Bills

ERIE, Pa. - A former resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to 21 months in prison and ordered to make restitution in the amount of $4,160.00 on his conviction of violating federal counterfeiting laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.

United States District Judge Sean J. McLaughlin imposed the sentence on Davon Shawn Eady, 25.

According to information presented to the court, Eady falsely made, forged and counterfeited Federal Reserve notes in denominations of $20.00 and $100.00 which were passed at numerous locations in the Erie area.

Assistant United States Attorney Marshall J. Piccinini prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the United States Secret Service and the Erie Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Eady.
