
Buffalo Woman Sentenced To Probation For Passing Contraband Into Prison
ERIE, Pa. - A resident of Buffalo, New York, has been sentenced in federal court to 3 years probation on her conviction of providing contraband in prison, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Sean J. McLaughlin imposed the sentence on Laquita Stephens, 24.
According to information presented to the court, on or about November 23, 2009, Stephens provided a quantity of marijuana to an inmate at the McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended officers of the McKean Federal Correctional Institution for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Stephens.
