Convicted Child Molester Sentenced To Prison for Failing To Register As A Sex Offender
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A resident of Pittsburgh was sentenced on Tuesday in federal court to serve nine months in prison followed by five years supervised release for failing to register as a convicted sex offender after engaging in interstate travel, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Donald Biby, 37, was sentenced by United States District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose.
Biby, after having been convicted of Child Molesting in Indiana, traveled interstate and knowingly failed to register or to update his registration as a sex offender.
Assistant United States Attorney CraigW. Haller prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
The United States Marshals Service and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Biby.
