Judge Gives Inmate Extra Prison Time for Possessing Marijuana

ERIE, Pa. - An inmate at the McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Bradford, Pennsylvania pleaded guilty and was sentenced in federal court to two months incarceration on his conviction for possession of contraband in prison, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.

United States District Judge Sean J. McLaughlin imposed the sentence on Marvin Greer, 33. The sentence was imposed to run consecutively to the sentence Greer is currently serving.

According to information presented to the court on July 11, 2012, Greer was in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

U.S. Attorney Hickton commended Officers of the McKean Federal Correctional Institution for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Greer.
