
Deported Alien Sentenced to Time-Served for Illegally Re-Entering United States
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A resident of Pittsburgh, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to time-served on a charge of re-entry into the United States after deportation, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon imposed the sentence on Fermin Raymundo-Espinosa, 38, a native of Mexico.
According to information presented to the court, Fermin Raymundo-Espinosa, an alien, was formally removed from the United States by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Aug. 4, 1999. Fermin Raymundo-Espinosa was found on Oct. 23, 2012, by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
Assistant United States Attorney Paul E. Hull is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Pittsburgh Police Department conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.
