Sex Offender Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison For Failing To Register Address
PITTSBURGH, Pa - On Jan. 27, 2012, a resident of Pittsburgh, Pa., was sentenced in federal court to serve 10 years in prison followed by 10 years supervised release for failing to register as a convicted sex offender after engaging in interstate travel, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
J.C. Youngblood, Jr., 51, was sentenced by United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer.
Youngblood, after having been convicted of Sexual Exploitation of Children in Georgia, traveled interstate and knowingly failed to register or to update his registration as a sex offender.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended United States Marshals Service, the Penn Hills Police Department, the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, the Allegheny County Police Department, the Whitfield County (Georgia) Sheriff's Office, and the Whitfield County (Georgia) District Attorney's Office for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Youngblood.
