
Citizen Of Mexico Sentenced To Time-Served For Re-Entering U.S. After Deportation
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - An individual found in Mt. Lebanon, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to time-served on his conviction of re-entry into the United States after deportation, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge David S. Cercone imposed the sentence on Jonathan Alcaraz-Tapia, 24, formerly from Mexico.
According to information presented to the court, Jonathan Alcaraz-Tapia, an alien, was removed from the United States by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Jan. 16, 2010. Jonathan Alcaraz-Tapia was found on June 7, 2012 in Mt. Lebanon.
Assistant United States Attorney Paul E. Hull prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Jonathan Alcaraz-Tapia.
