
Floridian Sentenced To 18 Months In Prison For Distributing Oxycodone

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A resident of Lake Park, Fla., has been sentenced in federal court to 18 months in prison and three years of supervised release on his conviction of violating federal narcotics laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Senior United States District Judge Maurice B. Cohill, Jr. imposed the sentence on Dirk Simonton, 31.
According to information presented to the court, Simonton distributed and possessed with the intent to distribute a quantity of oxycodone.
Assistant United States Attorney Almon S. Burke, Jr. prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Drug Enforcement Agency for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Simonton.
