Nigerian Sentenced To Time-Served For Visa Fraud
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A resident of Nigeria has been sentenced in federal court to time-served on his conviction of committing visa fraud, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer imposed the sentence on Moussa Abouka Foullah, 32, of Nigeria.
According to information presented to the court, Foullah knowingly used and possessed a document prescribed by statute or regulation for entry into or as evidence of authorized stay or employment in the United States, which the defendant knew to be forged, counterfeited, altered, or falsely made.
Assistant United States Attorney James T. Kitchen prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Foullah.
