
Butler County Man Sentenced to 2 Years Probation for Bankruptcy Fraud
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - On June 22, a resident of Butler County pleaded guilty and was sentenced in federal court to two years probation on his conviction of bankruptcy fraud, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Chief United States District Judge Gary L. Lancaster imposed the sentence on Albert S. Yaksic, 66, of Valencia, Pa.
According to the information presented to the court, on Oct. 25, 2010, Yaksic fraudulently concealed from the United States Trustee, in a bankruptcy case, proceeds received from an oil and gas lease totaling $32,268.00.
Assistant United States Attorney Gregory C. Melucci prosecuted this case on behalf of the United States.
The Office of the United States Trustee conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Yaksic.
