Judge Sentences Johnstown Crack Cocaine Dealer to 9 Years in Prison
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - A resident of Johnstown, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to 110 months and five years supervised release on his conviction of distributing and possessing with intent to distribute cocaine base, commonly known as “crack,” United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Cirilito Cheatham.
According to information presented to the court, on each of the dates of Sept. 26 and Sept. 27, 2011, Cheatham distributed less than 28 grams of cocaine base, and on Sept. 27, 2011, Cheatham possessed with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie L. Haines prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
Mr. Hickton commended the Laurel Highlands Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Cambria County Drug Task Force and the Johnstown Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Cheatham.
