
Rosebud Man Sentenced for Assaulting a Federal Officer

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Rosebud, South Dakota, man charged with assaulting a federal officer was sentenced on March 28, 2011, by United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Lance Dean Dorian, age 26, was sentenced to five months in custody, five months of home confinement, three years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund. Dorian was indicted for Assaulting a Federal Officer by a federal grand jury on May 11, 2010. The charge relates to Dorian assaulting a federal officer on April 14, 2010, in Todd County. He pled guilty to the charge on January 5, 2011. This case was investigated by Rosebud Law Enforcement Services. Assistant United States Attorney Tim Maher prosecuted the case. Dorian was immediately turned over to the custody of the United States Marshal. |
