
Wyoming Man Indicted for Aggravated Sexual Abuse

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Lander, Wyoming, man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Aggravated Sexual Abuse. Nathan I. Eastman, age 31, was indicted by a federal grand jury on February 8, 2011, for Aggravated Sexual Abuse. Eastman appeared before United States District Judge Charles B. Kornmann on March 29, 2011, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is up to life in custody, a $250,000 fine, or both; five years of supervised release; and a $100 Special Assessment. Restitution may also be ordered. The charge is merely an accusation, and he is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Britt Haxton is prosecuting the case. Eastman was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal. A trial date has not yet been set. |
