
Ft. Thompson Man Sentenced For Assaulting Officers

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Ft. Thompson man charged with Assaulting a Federal Officer was sentenced on May 2, 2011, by US District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Patrick Wind, a/k/a Patrick Azure, age 18, was sentenced to two years’ probation and a $25 victim assessment. Wind was indicted by a federal grand jury on November 17, 2010. In August 2010, Wind resisted law enforcement officers who were attempting to arrest and detain him, to include spitting in the officers' faces. He pled guilty on February 8, 2011. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Crow Creek Agency. Assistant US Attorney Eric Kelderman prosecuted the case. |
