U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Rosebud man charged with First Degree Burglary was sentenced on May 17, 2011, by U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Jesse Andrews, age 21, was sentenced to six months in custody, three years of supervised release, and a $100 assessment.

Andrews was indicted by a federal grand jury in December 2010. The charge relates to Andrews and two other men unlawfully entering the home of another in Todd County on September 24, 2010. They then stole several firearms and firearm accessories. Andrews pled guilty to count 1 of the indictment in March 2011.

This case was investigated by Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services. Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan N. Dilges prosecuted the case.

Andrews has been allowed to self-report to the U.S. Marshal on May 20, 2011.
