U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Rosebud man charged with First Degree Burglary was sentenced on May 17, 2011, by U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Duran Kelly, age 22, was sentenced to 27 months in custody, four years of supervised release, and a $100 assessment.

Kelly was indicted in December 2010 by a federal grand jury. The charge relates to Kelly and two other men unlawfully entering the home of another in Todd County on September 24, 2010. They then stole several firearms and firearm accessories. Kelly pled guilty to count 1 of the indictment in March 2011.
This case was investigated by Rosebud Law Enforcement Services. Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan N. Dilges prosecuted the case.

Kelly was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshal.
