
Dupree Man Sentenced in Drug Case

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Dupree man charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance was sentenced on May 24, 2011, by United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Ptan Clown, age 30, was sentenced to two years of probation, a $1000 fine, and a $25 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund. Ptan Clown was indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance; Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance; and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Aiding and Abetting by a federal grand jury on July 7, 2010. He pled guilty to a superseding information on March 15, 2011, that charged him with knowingly and intentionally possessing marihuana, a Schedule 1 controlled substance. Ptan Clown was in possession of 156 grams (5½ ounces) of marihuana on September 3, 2009. This case was investigated by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Jay Miller prosecuted the case. |
